Project 08 of 09 Independent project Storefront · Creative direction
A little colour. A world of possibility
Doodlebloom is a children’s creative-product brand. I shaped its visual world and designed a responsive storefront where the colour and character sit around Shopify’s familiar cart journey.

Identity
A visual system for small hands and big imaginations
A children’s brand has two audiences at once: the child drawn in by colour and character, and the parent deciding whether to trust it. The visual system had to speak to both without shouting at either.
The answer was a warm, colourful and illustrated direction, with room for illustration to lead and for the practical details of shopping to stay calm and legible.
Storefront
A storefront that stays a storefront
It’s tempting to let a playful brand reinvent every part of the shopping experience. I chose to keep Shopify’s native cart journey and put the personality into everything around it.
The theme was designed responsively and reviewed at mobile and desktop widths before it was published in October 2026.

Exploration
Sketching the story world
Alongside the storefront, I explored where the brand could go next: a storybook direction with a cover, an illustrated spread and a colouring page.
These are visual-development pieces rather than a finished book. They test whether the illustration style and palette can hold a narrative, and whether a story page and a colouring page can feel like part of the same world.
Independent project. Storefront family photography is AI-generated; storybook artwork is visual development.
